MacDolphins finish 4-2, tie for Division 5 Title

The MacDolphins finished the 2010 season with 4 wins and 2 losses. It has been many years since the MacDolphins have won more than two swim meets in a season. Most importantly, all of the meets were very competitive with several coming down to the final relays before the outcome was decided.

The MacDolphins finished tied with Apex for the Southen League Division 5 title. Both teams finished 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the division.

2010 Meet Dates Finalized

We don’t have our meet schedule yet but we do know the dates when the meets will be. The TSA announced this week that dual meets in 2010 will be held on six consecutive Tuesdays starting on June 15th and ending on July 20th.

TSA Clinics

If you are volunteering as a Stroke and Turn judge or Event Starter, TSA is offering a number of clinics prior to the 2009 season that you may want to attend.

All Clinics are at 7:00 PM.

Stroke and Turn Clinic at Charleston Village in Apex on April 15. This clinic will have a seating limit of 40.
Stroke and Turn Clinic at Lochmere in Cary on May 5. This clinic will be at the Lochmere Highlands Clubhouse, not at the main Lochmere pool.
Stroke and Turn Clinic at Jewish Community Center in North Raleigh on May 12.
Coaches Clinic on May 27 at Northbrook in Raleigh.
Starter Clinic on May 28 at Carpenter Village in Cary.

Stroke and Turn clinics usually last until around 8:30. Coaches and Starter Clinics usually last one hour. TSA plans to have others announced soon, including:

Coaches Clinic in Cary (tentative date is June 3).
Starter Clinic at a North League club.

TSA is working on additional Stroke and Turn Clinics. They plan to have one in late May and possibly a second in early June. If you are aware of someone who would like to be an instructor please email Tony McCullough or call him at 919-271-8514.
