1. Login to the MacDolphins.org web site. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, visit the Password Lost and Found link to have it resent and sent to you.
2. Once logged in, visit the Swim Team Profile to update your information. Make sure to include your Member Number so our registration and billing process is smoother this coming season than it was last season.
3. The T-shirt size on the Profile Page is your size, not your child’s size.  Your child’s t-shirt size is part of their profile!  Make sure you update it as well as many of the kids have grown quite a bit since last season.

This summer the Triangle Water Polo Club is planning 3 water polo clinics for ages 11+ at the Triangle Aquatics Center (Aug 1, Aug 8 and Aug 15) from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. We hope this could lead to monthly clinics throughout the year and by next summer, a 4-6 team league that could begin play at the conclusion of the TSA swim season.

• The trip is open to swimmers ages 11 & up
• Ticket price $24 , $16 for people shorter than 48 inches
• Have exact change or personal check written out to “Lynn Thomas”
• You must arrange your own transportation! Drivers are the chaperones and are responsible for all the swimmers in their cars.  If you are driving you can bring your younger children.  COACHES MAY NOT DRIVE OR CHAPERONE ANY MDCC SWIMMER.
• A sign-up sheet will be posted on the swim team bulletin board.
• All participants should meet in the MDCC pool parking lot by 8:15 am and collect money.  We leave at 8:30 sharp. We must check in together so we can’t wait for you!
• Emerald Point has a cooler storage area just outside the gate so you can bring your own food and drinks. There are day lockers inside to store your personal belongings in throughout the day. ONLY bottled water can be brought into the park.  Food and drinks are expensive so please plan appropriately.  Don’t forget the water proof sunscreen!

Individual photographs will be taken between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM.  If you are interested in an individual photograph of your child(ren) please arrive with plenty of time to spare.  Photos will be taken on a first come, first served basis 3:30 PM until 4:30 PM.  Payment must be made in advance (so please bring a check, credit card or cash), and the photos will be mailed to you.

The Team Photo will be taken at 4:30 PM, — that means your swimmer needs to be sitting or standing next to the deep end with a big smile on his or her face at 4:30 PM sharp!

If you scratch using the web site, you will see your swimmer’s name immediately.  If you scratch via e-mail or the bulletin board, their name will not be on the list until the next time I have a chance to enter the scratches.  The same holds true for CCM registrations as the process is essentially identical.

To view the scratch list, select the desired swim meet from the 2009->Swim Meet Schedule menu.

Step 1

Open www.MacDolphins.org in your web browser and look for the Login link on the right hand side bar.

Step 2

Login using your username and password.  If you have forgotten your username and/or password, use the Password Lost and Found link to have your username sent to you or your password reset.

Step 3

From the Dashboard (the screen you land on after logging in is called the Dashboard) select the Swim Team menu from the left side bar menu.

Step 4

From the Swim Team Overview page, select the Swim Meets tab.

Step 5

From the Swim Meets page, select the Cary City Meet using the small circle to the left of Cary City Meet and click the Register button.

Step 6

When you click the Register button you will be presented with your list of swimmers and a list of event strokes.  By default all strokes are selected indicating you wish to participate in the meet and the coaches will assign your entries.  If you only want your swimmer(s) to swim specific events, uncheck any event they will not participate in.

You can register all of your swimmers at once however they will all have the same stroke selection applied to their registration.  If you have more than one swimmer and they want to swim  different events, you will need to register them separately (repeat Step 6 for each swimmer).

Once you are happy with your selections, press the Save button.

Step 7

You will see a confirmation page to show you what you have registered for.  If you have done a full meet registration you will see entries for seven strokes – don’t worry, your swimmers won’t be swimming seven events!  The coaches will place them in at most 3 events and 2 relays.

If you want to change your registration, simply go through the process again.  When a registration is re-entered the original entries are discarded.

Get ready for the 28th annual Cary City Meet.  This meet has the potential of 29 swim teams participating.  This meet is slightly different than our regular dual meets – swimmers in all heats can earn points which count toward individual and team awards.  The MacDolphins have always placed well in this Swim meet (see the 2008 results for details). Let’s do it again MacDolphins!

Unlike regular season meets, the Cary City Meet is a Participation by Registration meet which means you need to register in order to participate.  Your swimmers are not registered until their name appears on the registration list.

Schedule

Morning Session: 10 & Under begins at 8:00 AM, with warm-ups as early as 7 AM. Ages 6 & Under swim only Freestyle & Backstroke and unlike regular meets, will swim 25 yards, a full length of the pool. Ages 7 & up swim all events.

Afternoon Session: 11 & Up begins at approximately 1:30 PM with a warm-up time of 12:30 PM. The afternoon session follows the completion of the morning session.

Volunteers

Parents of participants will need to volunteer during this meet. Nicolette King will contact you and assign you your volunteer position. Contact Nicolette at nicoletteking@nc.rr.com or 467-7211.

Fees and Registration

Registration fee is $10 per swimmer. This will be charged to your MDCC member account.

The Registration Process for the Cary City Meet is similar to the Scratch Process for the regular swim meets except you choose the “Register” button instead of the “Scratch” button after selecting the Cary City Meet from the list of swim meets.

The registration deadline is Sunday, July 5th. No changes will be accepted after the deadline.
