May 2008
5/16/08 – Swim team Orientation & Kick Off Celebration 6-10:00 pm. 6-7:00 buffet dinner (member sign) & orientation on pool deck. 7-10 Kids swim with Lifeguard supervision. Brinng your checkbooks & calendars. Last on-site swimsuit orders & try-ons. Volunteer sign-ups for meets (3 required). Meet the Coaches! Have a blast!
5/17/08 – Pool opens to the club members
5/27/08 – begin pre-season afternoon practice schedule for swim team (see practice schedules)
5/28 – 7pm last day for refund of swim team registration fees
June 2008
6/10/08 – 4:30-7 time trials, No practice, bring team shirt for age group signing opportunity
6/11/08 – begin in-season practice schedule morning and afternoons for swim team
6/11/08 – swim team t-shirt tie die activity (5-6:30 during practice)cancelled
6/12/08 – 9-10 am MacMinnies evaluations
6/16/08 – MacMinnie’s begin practices, 9-10 am
6/16/08 – 10 am, last day for refund of MacMinnies registration fees
6/16/08 – Pasta-pump-up dinner for 13 & up’s after practice, member’s home
6/17/08 – Tuesday morning ‘Chow Down’ & spirit sign decorating after AM practice
6/17/08 – 1st meet at MacGregor pool versus Apex. After meet social at Goodberries on Kildaire Farm Road
6/19/08 – no afternoon swim practice, pool closed for Tartan Club event
6/20/08 – Durham Bulls swim team night
6/23/08 – Pasta-pump-up dinner for 13 & up’s after practice, member’s home.
6/24/08 – Tuesday morning ‘Chow Down’ & spirit sign decorating after AM practice
6/24/08 – 2nd swim meet at MacGregor pool versus Deveraux. After meet social at Goodberries on Kildaire Farm Road.
6/28/08 – Cary City Meet at Scottish Hills, all day event
6/30/08 – Triathlon 4:30-7:30 pm, no afternoon practice, no pasta-pump-up dinner
July 2008
7/1/08 – Tuesday morning ‘Chow Down’ & spirit sign decorating after AM practice
7/1/08 – 3rd swim meet at Abbington. After meet social: Ralph’s Italian Ice on hwy 55
7/7/08 – Pasta-pump-up dinner for 13 & ups after practice, member’s home
7/8/08 – Tuesday morning ‘Chow Down’ & spirit sign decorating after AM practice
7/8/08 – 4th swim meet at MacGregor pool versus Walden Creek. After meet social: Goodberries on Kildaire Farm Road.
7/9/08 – swim-a-thon for charity, 4:30-7:30 pm (no afternoon practice)
7/15/08 – Tuesday morning ‘Chow Down’ & spirit sign making after AM practice
7/15/08 – 5th swim meet at Cary Park pool. After meet social: Ralph’s Italian Ice, hwy 55.
7/21/08 – MacMinnies meet, time TBA
7/23/08 – Tuesday morning ‘Chow Down’ & spirit sign decorating after AM practice
7/22/08 – 6th & final swim meet at Regency Park pool. After meet social- TBA
7/23/08 – water park swim team trip, all day, 11 & ups
7/29/08 – end-of-season swim team banquet (4-6) & pool party (6-8)
