Thanks to everyone who came out for the the MacDolphins Swim Team Orientation this past weekend at MDCC. The MacDolphins currently have 96 swimmers registered for the 2011 season.
13-14 and 15-18 Swimmers needed!
The MacDolphins are in need of older swimmers for the 13-14 and 15-18 age groups. The MacDolphins offer discounted registration for the 15-18 age group so if you have an older swimmer who is on the fence, please encourage them to swim! We need enough swimmers to ensure we can field at least one relay team each week.
Volunteer Sign Ups
The big news this week is the ability to sign up for your volunteer assignments on the MacDolphins web site. There are complete instructions on how to sign up for your favorite jobs. If you have questions or run into problems, don’t hesitate to contact Mike Walsh.
Each MacDolphins family is required to volunteer four times during the season. Did you know there are quite a few jobs that don’t require you to volunteer during the swim meet? The complete list of jobs along with a description of what each entails is posted so you have an idea of what you are signing up for!
The following “non-swim meet” positions are in need of a volunteer:
- Swim Team Banquet Coordinator
- Cary City Meet Co-Chair
- Communications
- Ribbon Organization
- Speeding Tickets
Spirit Wear
In addition to a new T-Shirt design, a plethora of new spirit wear items are available for order. These include embroidered men’s and women’s polo shirts, embroidered sleeveless polos, towels, swim caps, and athletic shorts.

- Do you need a MacDolphins Swim Team suit? You have several options to purchase a new 2011 suit.
- The MacDolphins are still looking for swim fins. If you have a pair you swimmer have outgrown, please consider donating them to the MacDolphins. You can bring them to the Swim Team Kickoff Party on May 20th.
