Hey MacDolphins!
So many thanks again to the countless volunteers, parents and swimmers who made the 2011 swim season a success! My job was made a lot more enjoyable because of the hard work you all put into the team. I just wanted to recap a couple of things in one last post because I am just so proud of all the accomplishments your kids achieved!
We ended the season with what was our most exciting meet against the Devereux Devil Rays. It was so close and I don’t think I’ve seen the kids swim faster. What a great way wrap everything up! As far as an overall picture goes, the swimmers made hundreds of best times every week and myself and the other coaches saw so much improvement in everybody by the last meet. We also had a ton of records broken this season: 13 team records and 2 pool records were set. That is incredible!
Congrats to all the swimmers who set a pool record!

I want to give one last shout out to the 19 swimmers who participated in the Cary City Meet on July 16th. We placed 20th out of more than 25 teams and had multiple Top 16 and Top 3 swims. Against other teams comprised of 120+ swimmers, I find this very impressive. Thanks to all the parents and swimmers who volunteered and participated and made it such a fun day!
Thanks again to all of you for making this such wonderful season for me. I came in from a different team, but was immediately made to feel welcome. I have had a hand in a lot of teams since I started swimming and I have to say that MacGregor is pretty special. Your abundance of spirit and support for each swimmer is refreshing from a coach’s point of view. I hope everyone has a wonderful end to their summers!
Thank you,
Elyse
