The MacDolphins have an away meet on Tuesday, July 13th against the Park Village. Park Village is off Davis Drive just north of Davis Drive Middle School. Allow 15 minutes travel time from MDCC to Park Village.
Scratchs and No-Shows
For the Highcroft meet we had a total of 95 scratches and no-shows. About 30 of the scratches come in after the heat sheets had been prepared. We also had 8 no-shows at the swim meet. A few late scratches are anticipated and happen at every meet but No-Shows really make the jobs of the coaches and volunteers harder than they need to be.
Please don’t wait until the last minute, if your swimmer(s) won’t be at the meet and haven’t scratched yet, please do so ASAP. If you aren’t sure, double check the Park Village scratch list to make sure your swimmer is listed. The scratch system has been improved to include a confirmation e-mail once the scratch has been entered into the system.
NOTE: Telling one of the coaches at swim practice that your swimmer(s) will not be at a meet does not mean they are on the scratch list – you still need to submit your scratch using the web site, email, or text message.
