Next Tuesday the MacDolphins will swim the final meet of 2009 against the Devereaux Devil Rays at Devereaux. Devereaux has about 100 swimmers, so we will have swimmers swimming in Devereaux lanes in some heats. We still need to make sure that we know if your swimmers will be scratched from the Devereaux meet ASAP. The coaches completed their preliminary heat sheet on Friday.
Scratches
It is important that you scratch if you will not be at the Devereaux meet.
As of this posting, the MacDolphins have 46 full or partial scratches. Please check the Devereaux scratch list to confirm your swimmer(s) name is listed if they will not be at the meet. Please refer to the process for scratching from a meet if you will not be at the Devereaux meet (or any other meet as well). If your swimmers need to leave the meet early, you can also do a partial scratch via the web site or via e-mail (scratch@macdolphins.org).

Logisitcs
We are working with Devereaux in advance in an effort to run the meet more efficiently. We will be bringing our starter and Dolphin timing system to Devereaux as they do not have a system of their own. Their timers will use our watches since we expect to have our swimmers in their lanes for a number of events.
Devereaux uses a system developed by one of their parents for meet management so there will be some adjustments made to heat and lane assignments on the pool deck as we cannot combine our entries ahead of time..
