MacDolphins News 08/11
It is hard to believe but it has been almost a month since the MacDolphins’ 2008 season ended. We may not be in the frenzy of swim team season but there are still a few imtems of interest to pass along to swim team families.
Wireless Timing System Update
As announced at the swim team banquet, the MacDolphins plan to acquire a wireless timing system for the 2009 season. This system will make many of the volunteer jobs easier and the time data we collect more accurate.
Those of you who have fulfilled your pledge, thank you very much! For those of you who haven’t or didn’t know about the fund raiser, please see the article on the MacDolphins web site which has all the details on what the system is, what it does, how much it costs, and how you can contribute!
2008 Swim Team DVD
Quite a few people have asked how they can get a copy of the Swim Team DVD Cathy Baker created for the swim team banquet. Due to popular demand, copies of the DVD are now available for purchase with the proceeds going toward the wireless timing system. Details on how to buy one are on the web site. If there are no more copies at the pool, contact Mike Walsh so he can replenish the supply.
2008 Year in Pictures
In addition to the DVD slide show, all 1200+ pictures which were taken by various swimmers and parents this year have been assembled into one massive slide show and randomly ordered. Go back and see some of many pictures left on the cutting room floor. Tip: Set the slide transition time to 1 second, they go by quickly but not too quickly.

Pictures from the Swim Team banquet have been posted. If you took pictures at the banquet or the after party and would like to have them included, contact Mike Walsh and he will work with you to get them posted.
Technology Team
With the expectation that the MacDolphins will have a new timing system next season, Mike Walsh and Terri Hamrick are looking for assistance for the 2009 season with the increasting technology requirements the MacDolphins will face.
